If you run in coastal areas or over treated winter roads, corrosion is always a concern. The Dacromet coating on the hub-rotor, calipers, and brackets holds up to 300-400 hours of salt spray, keeping rust at bay even with frequent freshwater or saltwater use. It’s a solid choice for boat trailers and anyone who wants brakes that stay reliable in wet or corrosive environments.
Instead of a slip-on rotor that can trap moisture, this integrated hub-and-rotor design keeps out water and debris to prevent uneven wear and corrosion. The vented rotor dissipates heat quickly to reduce brake fade and extend pad life. A side-support caliper bracket carries the load on the bracket instead of the bolts, which helps prevent premature wear for consistent braking over the long haul.
Everything needed to upgrade one axle comes in the box — two Dacromet-plated hub-and-rotor assemblies with inner (25580) and outer (15123) bearings, races, grease seals (10-36), E-Z Lube caps, wheel bolts, and zinc-plated lug nuts. With only five mounting bolts per side and minimal maintenance required afterward, it’s an easy weekend upgrade for better braking performance that lasts.

Kodiak disc brake kits look very nicely made and work well with no issues.
One caliper failed (broke from flange) after 2000 miles. Had to reach out to Dexter for prompt warranty replacement. etrailer was very helpful in getting me in touch with the manufacturer.
Dexter works well but sadly these come with china bearing. I order Timken instead. Wish you could get the best with the best in one package. Probably should be an option. Maybe it is and I missed it.
Perfect fit and much easier to work on, compared to the original Dexter brake assemblies.
Fantastic love it. Worth every cent I paid for it. All big trailer should come with discus brakes standard . Stopping power is like night and day there a big difference.

I bought the brake kit to repair the Kodiak brake kit that I installed over 10 years ago. I am very pleased with the kit. I lost a caliper and it damaged the rotor. I had a service teck grease my wheel bearings and I suspect he did not use lock tight on the caliper pins and did not thoroughly tighten the pins on one side. Shipping is an issue. The box is very heavy and was badly damaged during shipping. I was sent the wrong kit and received a correct kit a week later. Both shipping boxes were destroyed. Cannibalized one box to fix the other box (lots of packing tape) to return the initial kit.
